I am a Queen!

It's only a mere week and the school year is finished again! whew! time flies really fast and I cannot imagine that I survived another year at school and a new year in Nursery. Scarlett, an Australian girl in class gave me a beautiful gift this morning just before she and her family fly back to Australia for the summer break! I loved her gift most especially the card that goes with it. In it, were drawings of us,her teachers.

All the children arrived in class without me in sight, as I was up in the hall to do a talk with the other teachers about EYFS curriculum for parents. As soon as I stepped inside the classroom, Scarlett screamed and said, "Ms Grace, i have a gift for you!" She stood up and went to get the presents and gave them all to us. When I opened the card, there was no message in it but beautiful drawings of 3 people! I asked her who those people were and she pointed on each one and said our names.

I asked her why her drawing of me is bigger than the rest, and I was caught off guard with her answer.

Ms Grace: "Scarlett why is your drawing of me bigger than Ms Van's and Ms Phuong's?"
Scarlett: "It is because you are the QUEEN of the class!"

No material things can top the gesture and cleverness of the children. I appreciate the gifts i receive from them but the thought and the love they generously shower me everyday is worth more millions than money can buy!
